Capt Tony's and the Little Black Dress Party ![]() We pack up the car on Friday. This year we are taking Dave's new Land Yacht, instead of my old SUV. Early Saturday morning we departure for Key West, and our 10th Fantasy Fest. How time flies.
Before leaving Marco we stop at our local Subway for
Breakfast with Nancy.
On the way down we stop on Islamorada at the Wide World of
Sports Bass Pro Shop. They have a full sized replica of
Hemmingway's boat the Pilar inside the store. I took the
picture to the right of the real Pilar in Havana a couple years ago.
The Cubans love Hemmingway, and have restored his boat and estate.
That guy knew how to party! I want to be him when I grow up!
We arrive at our Truman Annex Condo in Key West after an
uneventful 6 hour dirve.
The first thing we do is to synchronize the clocks on our 4
cameras. Then we all take a picture of the clock.
Later, when we meld all the camera pictures together, the clock
pictures should all show up together when sorted by "date taken".
One year we forgot to do this, and it was a
ClusterFuck later when preparing this website.
First event: The GOOMBAY Festival in Bahama Village!
I have unbounded respect and admiration for the Key West
Police Department. They do an incredible job of keeping
Fantasy Fest safe for everyone, while not being intrusive, or
putting a damper on the fun. Hat's off to them!
We stop by the Wyland Gallery to get reacquainted with Steven Muldoon and our other friends.
Cindy can't decide which Muldoon/Wyland collaboration to buy. I told her to just get all three. After all, each is only about the price of a small car!
Back to the Condo to get ready for the Little Black Dress
party at Capt Tony's. Cindy is keeping her eye on the situation!
Dave really has his hands full!
...So does the MadDog!
Tit for Tat, whatever that means?
The Smokin' Tuna is doing well this year. Last year
the Police Department used the long side street as their parking
area, and I think it intimidated some folks from venturing down the
the road to the Tuna.
It's been a long day. Time to say "Goodnight" so we
can do it again tomorrow.
