The Garage...

This is where all the action is, if you're just the least bit handy!

Our house has a separate heated 900 square foot garage/workshop that is the handy-man's dream.  The garage has 200 amp electrical service, and 11 foot ceilings without columns.  It also has hot and cold water and a slop sink.  You can even wash your car inside the garage in the winter with warm water!  There's also a 50 amp 220 volt outlet for your MIG welder, and a 30 amp 220v circuit in the attic for a big air compressor!  What more could you ask for?  Read on.

There's a large work bench in the center of the workshop.  Power and compressed air are delivered through  conduit buried in the floor, so there's no messy wires or hoses hanging around.  There's seven double 10 foot florescent fixtures on 4 different circuits to provide just the right light.

You can easily park two cars inside with plenty of workshop room left.  Got a big project?  Just back out the cars and you have the whole 900 square feet at your disposal.

The garage is super insulated and heated by a forced hot air furnace.  You can keep it heated all winter for less than 100 gallons of kerosene.  Your cars stay nice and warm and snow free during the winter months.

There's a full sized staircase on the right-hand side that provides access the to storage area over the garage.  This area provide storage for just about all the seasonal stuff you'll have with this recreational property.
